We, at GS E&C, were founded in 1969 and have been making balanced growth through stable business portfolio in plant, civil, construction, housing, environment and others. In particular, the Company presented its mid-to long-term goal of 'Vision 2010' in 2003, and has became a construction company that represents the Republic of Korea through high-level business structure, innovation of process and system, and securing of outstanding human resources and technical strength.
However, for the past several years, the construction industry has encountered with new turning point of paradigm in response to the domestic market as well as the global environmental changes with the diverse attempts of seeking for new opportunities. While the growth of domestic construction industry slows down, the overseas market has the explosive increase of new orders in plants and development projects with the oil producing countries in Middle East. Therefore, many countries focus on overseas to take the opportunities in overseas markets as a new breakthrough from the slowing down in domestic market.

Through such a vision, the company has the goal o enter into Global Top 10 by accomplishing 24 trillion won of order and 18 trillion won of sales revenue by 2015.
In order to accomplish "Vision 2015", the Company will focus on internal organization reform as well as focusing on environment projects on water treatment and waste substance businesses on mid-to long-term basis as well as the energy plant projecs, such as power generation and gas by braking away from domestic market-oriented projects in a way of leaping into one of the top global construction companies. In addition, the Company plans to make the balance of domestic and overseas projects by raising the ratio of overseas projects up to50% by 2015 with the overseas Civil projects, such as, dam, port and the like, as well as selective undertaking of overseas contract projects on the basis of the profitability that had been suspended to this time.
