

GS E&C has carried out a number of oil refinery projects at home
including No.1~2 Heavy Oil Upgrades for GS-Caltex Oil and CDU/VDUs
for S-Oil. The company broke into overseas markets in the early 1990s and has
achieved remarkable performances in the plant industry since then. The
track record to date encompasses a refinery for Azerpetrochim CDU/VUs
in Azerbaijan, Condensate splitter plants and LBOPs for TPI in Thailand,
a RFCC for CPC in Taiwan, a Gas Oil Desulfurization unit and OCR revamp
of ARDS unit for KNPC in Kuwait, a Catalytic Dewaxing plant for IOCL in
India and a US$700 million QP Refinery Expansion in Qatar.The company has also achieved success in gas processing facilities, a
new strategic business area. Projects completed so far include the LPG
terminal at Incheon, Korea and Shantou, China and the LNG terminal at
Tongyoung and Incheon, Korea. Moreover, the company is performing the
LNG terminal project in Thailand that is the first overseas LNG terminal
project in Korea.The company received a US$1.8 billion order for gas processing facilities (Phases 9 & 10) at the South
Pars gas field, Iran, US$2.0 billion for Heavy Oil Upgrading project in Egypt, and US$1.1 billion for Green Diesel project in
United Arab Emirates. A firm foundation is now in place for stable growth in this new field.


GS E&C’s petrochemical plant record is highly regarded worldwide, thanks to the advanced technology and know-how
acquired from long experience.In Korea, the company has completed an ethylene/propylene plant for LG Petrochemical, a polypropylene/BTX plant for
LG-Caltex Oil, and a polycarbonate plant for LG-DOW Polycarbonate. Overseas projects include a polypropylene plant
for Epsilon in US, EB/SM plant for TPI in Thailand, VCM Plant for TPC in Thailand, polyamide/polypropylene plant in
Indonesia, VCM/PVC plant in Saudi Arabia (the largest ever built at the time in the world), LAB plant from ICIIC, Iran,
Acetic Acid plant form NPC in Iran, polypropylene plant in Oman, LAB plant from Qatar Petroleum in Qatar, and
Aromatics plant in China.Recently, new orders have been received for Aromatics plant from ATC and polypropylene from HMC polymers co.
in Thailand, Aromatics plant and Methanol plant in Oman, and LAB plant from Egypt LAB Co. in Egypt.
