X-Pixwall is a soundproof wall system designed with
a combination of modules. Instead of a conventional
fixed system, it adopts a new soundproof system
designed as a flexible structure for which the surface
can be changed as required for the surroundings.
The 6 types of block modules create 11-level shades
that can be recognized as pixels to form one single
screen from the soundproof wall. Each of the block
units that constitute the pixels can be easily attached
and detached and converted into a range of different
images. Additionally, the end-face angles of the blocks
reduce the reflection of noise, thereby improving the
functional performance of the soundproof walls.
The natural image created by light and shade creates
beautiful scenery that harmonizes with nature, while
also minimizing visual stress that might otherwise result from large artificial structures.

Xi Kiosk is a home ubiquitous system installed in the common facilities
of an apartment complex, providing practical and emotional satisfaction
for residents. It expresses the organic configuration of a tree in a simple
and tempered way. Among the key functions are the home network service
for the identification of visitors and home delivery persons, and community
services for newsletters and webzines for residents. Its “playground
monitoring” menu allows parents to watch their children play safely and,
in the event of a problem, contact security immediately. Xi materializes
a vision for future residential spaces with a product that can satisfy both
the price and the emotional values of customers.

‘Xi Gallery’ (Pusan, Korea) is pursuing a dignified cultural space
beyond a simple exhibition & sample house, opening up the
possibility of creating a new living culture. Xi-Gallery (Pusan,
Korea) will become a forum where a range of cultural programs,
(experimental culture sessions, participative shows, exhibitions, etc.),
can be held, and is designed as the configuration of an artificial
landscape called ‘X-Scape,’ featuring a pond, a hill, and the sky.
The artificial landscape offers a space that allows users to enjoy
completely different experiences from a different range of perspectives.
The sample penthouse is designed using a module that can
accommodate almost any unit, (whether double-decker housing,
extra-large housing, or an exhibition.) This system allows the sample
house to be remodeled and reused as a sustainable sample house,
minimizing environmental stress in an urban area. In addition to the
beauty of the building, the harmony between commercialism and public service, and between ideas of single-use and
sustainability, as envisioned by the Xi Gallery (Pusan, Korea) should be considered as significant factors in urban planning.
